Security has always been the need of hour, Current scenario is just reconfirming its importance. Solus always believed to be proactive hence is ready to take up these demand challenges today with the most modern Products and a newly added integrated facility at Bangalore to its operations.

Recently Solus has enhanced their product lines by adding the latest features in order to meet the expectations of a user group. In the present scenario, users expects the security systems to behave like other gadgets such as smartphones or a mobile app.Solus has taken this in consideration and thus made user friendly products which received huge appreciation.

Q. Solus Security has diverse range of security products; can you highlight some of the top line products & its applications?
iSOLUS is an Integrated Security Management Application Suite along with DAC Access Controllers & ID11 Terminals is the most popular products of Solus, iSOLUS allows you to manage your Access, Attendance, Visitors, Canteen, Photo Display, CCTV Integration and other modules on a seamlessly integrated Database with modern Dynamic Report builder, Scheduled Report E mailers & SMS Integration, using Solus and other third party field devices.

iSolus is successfully placed in many Enterprise Pan India fields such as IT, Pharma, Power, BFSI, Govt & Defence and among others. Several case studies & customer commendation received are encouraging and motivating. It’s actually a distilled abstract of customer feedback, experience, technology and innovation.

Due to change in technology, we had rewritten complete code to correct our mistakes and bringing in new innovative approaches that made the product far lighter, quicker and easy and hence loved by its users. Now they love telling and teaching their other Industry peers.

Q. What is Solus Security product marketing strategy to confront the competition?
“Happy and Satisfied Customers” is the proven marketing mantra for Solus, 80% of our Sales happen thru word of mouth. We continue to invest on to improve customer service along with Product R&D. It’s important to have improved version of products released before it’s too late to remain relevant at market place. To maintain pace, Solus successfully upgrades its core technology platform in every three years from the last decade onwards.

Q. How do you account R&D activity in Solus Security?
R&D is an integral part of Solus Operations, Solus has a DSIR recognised and certified dedicated R&D center. About 40% of our profits are re-invested for R&D each year. We account R&D spends as the most promising investment for future and our product innovations are proven biggest assets for Solus.

Q. Does “India” as market has a great potential? What are the key performance areas?
Yes it is. You must be ready to accept challenges it throws on you and beside the challenges are the opportunities. Solution design capabilities with performance and cost optimisations efficiently. After Sales are the KPA’s of success. India market has been value driven, often tagged as price sensitive. But in true business sense, this drives you to do continuous innovation   and ease usage by cutting down the costs.

Q. Could you brief us on the Indian and global scenario of electronic security systems and solutions industry?
Facility Security has received worldwide attention and budgets now because of many unheard type of plans and attacks used by terrorist and attackers worldwide. Recent Market Reports are very positive for Security Industry and suggesting security markets will grow up at whopping 30-40% and different security solutions.

Q. According to you what are the factors affecting the electronic security business?
Electronic Systems are the aids to the human efficiencies. At the end human brain will be the super hero to handle operations using alerts or warnings. Few timely actions which helped nailing an attack plan like at Hyderabad Airport has proved electronic systems efficacy. Hence a careful product selection, a detailed project management during deployment and provision for efficient after sales support are the key steps for the success of any electronic security project. Both buyer and seller must understand importance of detailed planning and execution. Missing on any of these steps often leads to project derailed from its objectives. Which is not good for electronic security business as overall.

Q. What are the key technological trends that are driving the electronic security industry?
Multiple Systems taking to one common platform and thus creating a meaningful and easy information for users is the most desirable in current times. An integrated platform which can do multiple functions using a common database actually optimises the investment on technology and security.

Same is expected from Electronic Security too, you can’t afford to have heavy IT investments done just to OPEN / CLOSE Doors or the see camera feeds. We have many ways this IT investment can be utilised for several other purposes such as Attendance, CCTV and Access Integration, Guard Tour, Visitor Management, Canteen Management, Contract Workmen and so on… to bring down TCO.

Q. What is your vision for Solus Security?
To assist India to be independent and to have its own dependable Security Solution and Technology for its critical infrastructure along with national security without being dependent on foreign products. We have been fortunate with opportunities available to us with this vision and dream. We will continue to strive to remain relevant and hence the best choice for our customers.

Q. What are the issues or initiative needs to be taken by governmental & non-governmental bodies that are related to electronic security industry?
Governing the Law to provide Safer and Secure living to all citizens and organisations will help in bringing happier and prosper situation for all. Being proactive is important again. Electronic Security has been proven helpful to deter and prevent crime. Making this as mandatory for project approvals can boost overall safety and security in society. A mandatory need of regular check on upkeep / maintenance of system can ensure systems which are available when you need them most.
