Overview:

Sanmina designs, manufactures, and repairs some of the most complex and innovative optical, electronic, and mechanical products in the world. Recognized as a technology leader, Sanmina provides end-to-end design, manufacturing, and logistics solutions, delivering superior quality and support to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) primarily in the communications networks, computing and storage, medical, defense and aerospace, industrial and semiconductor, multimedia, automotive and clean technology sectors.

Challenge:

As a manufacturing enterprise with hundreds of staff members, Sanmina spreads across a large industrial area. A large surface area comes with several complexities including need to regularize pedestrian traffic and prevent unautherized access as well as necessity of manpower to monitor entry points. Sanmina also found themselves in a similar situation, where they required a security system to regulate the traffic the flow of their employees during rush hours to avoid accidents.

Requirements:

A powerful security solution capable of controlling pedestrian entering or exiting at heavily crowded area.
Improve the productivity of security guards in monitoring and avoiding excessive crowd formation.

Solution:

To help Sanmina organization to monitor and control entry and exit of their employees, ZKTeco provided two entrance control systems namely FBL2000 and FBL2200 flap barriers.

The single lane flap barriers, FBL2000 Series, were installed at extreme ends of the pavement with double lane flap barriers, FBL2200 Series, in between to form a cost-effective barrier arrangement. This lane formation effectively optimized Sanmina employees’ traffic flow while minimizing crowd formation and helped Sanmina organization from occurrence of unwanted incidents due to overflow of employees in a short amount of time.

SANMINA Adopted ZKTeco Entrance Solution for Effective Pedestrian Traffic Control

PROJECT FUNCTIONS

The FBL2000 Series operates in a smooth and silent manner with minimal power usage.
With SUS304 stainless steel, the barrier provides long-term durability.
The barriers are normally held in a locked position, thus denying access to the secured side. Upon positively recognizing users the barriers retract upward automatically, thus allowing users passage to the secured side.
However, during emergencies the barriers automatically retract upward, thereby ensuring users immediate exit to safety.
A battery for power outage safety can be installed for retracting the barrier automatically.

RESULTS:

Safety of the employees has been improved from potential accidents due to excessive crowd gathering.
Employee traffic flow has been optimized and line formation is implemented.
Productivity of Sanmina administration is improved with automatic entry and exit control of staff members.
