FAAC: 50 successful years in parking & access automation

Year 2015 is being celebrated by FAAC as 50th year of its inception with a theme ‘When Ideas Can Change the World’. Innovation, talent, ability to push the boundaries and courage to cross new frontiers – these are the values shaping the entire FAAC group story, driven by a pioneering, visionary spirit.

To celebrate the 50th birthday of FAAC, FAAC India is seizing the opportunity to pay homage to these values by commemorating some the great people who have set new targets and who are the embodiment of the approach that has always marked FAAC, their employees and its valued partners.

Considering the above an entire theme is being created by FAAC India where by the marketing material of the company like its calendars, market programs revolving around a theme dedicated to inventors whose discoveries have made a major contribution to improving our daily lives and also to those trailblazers who have conceived revolutionary ways of interpreting the world.

FAAC across the world will celebrate the whole year along with that innovative, long-term vision that its founder –Giuseppe Manini’ has been able to instil and cultivate at FAAC ever since its foundation, with the intuition that good business means being able to meet people’s daily needs and in doing so, creating ingenious openings.

The 50th Anniversary celebrations will culminate with a global event in Zola Predosa; ITALY where key dealer, system integrators and customers of different subsidiaries will be invited along with the key local team members. There will be common activities for all FAAC subsidiaries worldwide and special promotions will be carried out Flash Sales every month on key models and new product launches. There will also be global contests where FAAC customers/ Integrators and dealers will be able to participate and can win awards and trip for the mega event in ITALY.

2015 will also be a key to FAAC India operations as it coincides with 10 years of operations in India. Since 2005 FAAC has been developing the Access Control market with slew of conversions in market from manual operations into automatic solutions for pedestrian and vehicular access. With shifting focus of security conscious customer from post-mortem based security devices to preventive security devices the size of automation industry is expected to grow rapidly in the country.

One of the key focuses in terms of product launches will be an all new HYBRID BARRIER – B680 which is touted as the best barrier in the world.

IT HAS NO EQUAL BUT ITSELF; with Hybrid heart which, together with its “everlasting” springs, allows it to exceed 2,000,000 cycles of continuous-use. No need to change the barrier now if the lengths need to change; the same barrier can support length from 2.3 meter to 8.3 meter beams with opening time as less as 1.5 seconds, in total safety, thanks to the reverse on contact feature.

The product is the only barrier with removable housing which ensures the housing is non load-bearing and may be easily replaced, with the upright post remaining in place. It is available in stainless-steel or steel versions, with the innovative, 100-micron, epoxy zinc primer anti-corrosion treatment, with four colours available. This design gives the system greater stability and permits easy replacement of the housing.

The B680 barrier is designed for Indian electricity conditions with a switching power supply, with high energy efficiency and extended range, ensures operation of barriers from 100 Vac to 240 Vac, protecting them from any changes in voltage occurring with non-optimal power supply systems.

The product comes with a sophisticated electronics with integrated Loop Detector. The E680 microprocessor control board ensures integration of the B680 with complex control systems. It has numerous programmable outputs and inputs and a connector for GSM, Ethernet and Wi-Fi modules. Two integrated high-sensitivity Loop Detectors ensure the containment of system costs. The programmable integrated flashing traffic light connector guarantees perfect regulation of traffic, while the LED beam lights adequately signal closing of the passage even under conditions of poor visibility.

Similarly in the field of Perimeter protection both in terms of vehicular and pedestrian access the company has been driving solutions. FAAC India is now pushing new range of Modular automation solutions with their automatic barriers, automatic pedestrian entrances, screen and roller shutters for home automation, offices, hotels and businesses. With the growth of residential segment in the country; FAAC India’s sales in this segment increased through a range of products in particular the operators for automatic gates both swing & sliding, automatic boom barriers especially with RFID based automatic vehicle access for multi apartments. This new segment has been the fastest growing with tubular motors for awnings, French windows and automated roller shutters for car garages as key range of products now gaining foothold in modern Indian homes.

In the industrial range FAAC India has been providing solutions for sliding gate automation, automatic entrances like energy saving sliding doors, emergency exits, pedestrian access control with full-height, half height turnstiles, flap barriers, Heavy roller shutters etc. Similarly for high security zones; FAAC India provides complete solutions like crash rated bollards, tyre killers, axel breakers, road blockers and boom barriers.
