Hochiki expands its life safety portfolio in IndiaHochiki, a leading global manufacturer of life safety systems, has expanded its life safety detection portfolio in India with the launch of a brand new multi-sensor product line. The ACD is a cost-effective solution to cater to the country’s demanding life safety detection needs.

The Indian fire safety systems and equipment market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 9% during 2017-2023. Growing consumer awareness, rise in fire incidences, stringent fire safety norms and overall growth in construction sector is expected to drive demand for fire safety systems and equipment in India. Commenting on the launch of the products, Rohit Harjani, Country Manager Indian Sub-Continent, Hochiki, said, “Fire incidents have risen multifold across the country in recent times, endangering the life and assets of many. Reliability with simplicity is an important combination when it comes to protecting lives. With the launch of the ACD, we aim to incorporate fire safety mechanism in India and are committed to do not only what is required by law but also what is expected of a market leader.”

The ACD multi-criteria smoke-heat-CO sensor offers smoke modes that provide early warning and superior nuisance reduction technology, temperature modes that offer both fixed temperature and rate of rise alarm response to temperature increases, and CO detection modes that provide for alarm from both fixed CO concentrations as well as for CO alarming from varying CO levels over time (COHb – CO Haemoglobin poisoning). This flexibility means the ACD can be installed in a multitude of different environments. The ACD will be available both as an EN approved model (ACD-EN) with 24 EN-certified modes of operation and as a UL-approved model (ACD-V) with 16 UL-certified modes. These products are the latest addition to Hochiki’s world-proven intelligent sensor range – a group of ultra-reliable products designed to be easily installed, maintained and operated and are designed to complement the company’s flagship fire control panel, the L@titude.
