The built-in sensors detect the presence of voltage. When LED light on the tip glows with buzzer sound, you know voltage is present.

This instrument can be used for Voltage Range 90 – 1000V AC at 50 – 60Hz & it has a facility of Torch Light which is useful in dark fields.
